FiveStar Comic Con Cosplay Contest

Show off your skills, creativity, and passion for cosplay at the FiveStar Comic Con Cosplay Contest!

Date: Saturday, June 20
Location: FiveStar Comic Con Main Stage (Junior Ballroom)
Age Requirement: 13 and up
Prizes: $250 in cash & gift cards for the winner

Contest Rules:

  • Costumes may be handmade or assembled from existing pieces—but originality, creativity, and effort will be scored highest.

  • Judging categories include:

    • Overall Presentation

    • Craftsmanship

    • Accuracy (if character is from existing media)

    • Performance/Stage Presence

  • No dangerous or real weapons allowed. All props must be convention-safe and approved at check-in.

  • Audio/performance elements must be under 60 seconds if used.

  • One entry per person. Group entries are allowed, but will be judged as a single entry and share the prize if they win.

  • Original characters welcome!

  • Sign-ups open at 10AM at the Info Booth and close 30 minutes before the contest begins. Limited spots available!

FiveStar Comic Con Kids Cosplay Contest

Sunday, June 21 | Ages 15 & Under | Prizes for All Participants!

The Kids Cosplay Contest is a fun, no-pressure event designed just for fans 12 and under, celebrating imagination & creativity.

Date: Sunday, June 21
Location: FiveStar Comic Con Main Stage (Junior Ballroom)
Age Requirement: 12 and under
Prizes: Fun prizes for all participants, plus special awards for creativity, stage presence, and crowd favorite!

Contest Rules:

  • Open to children ages 12 and under.

  • Costumes can be handmade, store-bought, or a mix!

  • Parents/guardians must accompany all participants.

  • Props must be safe and lightweight. No sharp objects, projectiles, or realistic weapons.

  • Each child will have a chance to walk across the stage and show off their costume.

  • This is a non-competitive, family-friendly event, but judges may present fun awards such as:

    • Best Homemade Costume

    • Most Creative

    • Cutest Costume

    • Crowd Favorite

  • Sign-ups begin at 10AM at the Info Booth and close 30 minutes before the contest starts. Space is limited, so sign up early!
