PROP WEAPONS POLICY
To keep FiveStar Comic Con fun and safe for everyone, all attendees must comply with the following Prop Weapons Policy. Please read carefully before bringing any props or costume weapons to the event.
✅ Allowed Prop Weapons
Foam, plastic, cardboard, rubber, or lightweight wood props that cannot cause injury with casual contact.
Lightsabers, staffs, and wands made from lightweight, non-metal materials.
Blunted foam swords, axes, and similar fantasy weapons.
Prop firearms that are clearly non-functioning and have an orange safety tip (at least 1/4 inch wide and permanently affixed).
3D-printed props with no sharp edges, made of lightweight materials.
❌ Prohibited Items
Metal weapons of any kind (real swords, knives, axes, throwing stars, etc.).
Live firearms, even if unloaded, deactivated, or antique.
Functional projectile weapons (including but not limited to airsoft guns, BB guns, paintball guns, nerf-style blasters, slingshots, bows with tension, or anything that fires a projectile).
Sharp objects or anything with a sharpened edge or point.
Heavy, blunt objects that could cause injury if swung.
📋 Inspection
All props must be inspected at the Prop Check Table near registration before entry.
Security reserves the right to inspect props at any time.
⚠️ Behavioral Expectations
Do not brandish, swing, or aim props at other attendees in a threatening or disruptive manner.
Keep props holstered, sheathed, or carried safely in crowded areas.
No mock fights or choreography involving props in public areas without prior approval.
🚫 Violation Policy
Non-compliance may result in removal of the prop from the premises or removal of the attendee from the event.
Props that violate policy may be confiscated and returned at the end of the day or held by security until you leave.

If you're unsure whether your prop is allowed, please contact us in advance or bring it to the Prop Check Table for review.
Exceptions for performers or stage events must be cleared in writing with event staff prior to the con.
